Lunchtime Supervisor
Permanent, 11.50 to 13.20 Monday to Friday (7.5 hours per week) – All year round.
Situated on a striking 45-acre campus on the border of Nottingham and Derbyshire in Long Eaton, The Elms is the Nursery and Junior School to Trent College.
The Elms Junior School is a co-educational, independent day school for 4-11 year olds. The Elms Pre-School and Nursery welcomes children from 6 weeks to 4 years old.
The Elms Nursery and Junior School is looking for a Lunchtime Supervisor to work Monday to Friday whilst the school is in session in our vibrant and beautiful Lower and Upper playgrounds.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a warm and caring nature, have experience of and a passion for working with young children.

Grounds Person

Applications are invited for the position of Grounds Person. This is an all-year round, highly manual, outdoor role.
Working as a fully ‘hands on’ member of the Gardens & Grounds team the post holder will maintain and develop all sporting surfaces, both natural and artificial, ensuring that all surfaces are presented to the highest of standards. A willingness to learn and undertake all traditional grounds person’s duties and understand modern trends and developments is essential. The role will also include assisting in the maintenance of garden and woodland areas.
This role would suit applicants with an interest in sport to enable them to take an interest in the performance of all sporting facilities. A full driving licence is also essential.

Teacher of Mathematics

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our vibrant and successful Mathematics Department. The person appointed will join a team of experienced teachers of Mathematics, many of whom have other responsibilities within the school.
The ideal candidate will have a strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and inspire students across all key stages. We follow the Edexcel specification at GCSE with some students also completing the AQA Level 2 Further Maths course. At A Level, we follow the Edexcel specification for both Maths and Further Maths. Many of our students also take part in the UKMT Challenges at all levels.

The role will include delivery of a combined science course in Year 7 and 8 and delivery of either Chemistry or Physics (or both) to Year 9 and above. We follow the AQA specifications at both GCSE and A Level. At GCSE we deliver both the GCSE Combined Science course and GCSE separate sciences.
The successful candidate will plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Foster a stimulating and engaging learning environment that promotes a love for science and prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring high standards of attainment.

Teacher of Physical Education and Games

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher of PE and Games to enhance the teaching of academic and practical Physical Education and the coaching of sport at Trent College and The Elms. The person appointed will join a team of experienced teachers led by the Director of Sport. Whilst the Director of Sport oversees the Department, some responsibilities are shared amongst members of the Department.
The ideal candidate will be able to deliver high-quality lessons in practical Physical Education, Games and academic Physical Education, including the BTEC Level 3 National in Sport. The successful candidate will have a strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and inspire students across all key stages at Trent College and The Elms.
A candidate with previous rugby coaching experience would be desirable.
