Sixth formers support charity with Reverse Advent Calendar

Trent College sixth formers entered into the true spirit of Christmas by donating goods to a local charity.

For the final week of the Michaelmas term, the Sixth Form completed a Reverse Advent Calendar – a concept whereby on each day of the final week of term, each tutor group in the Sixth Form donated an item such as non-perishable food, or a product such as shower gel.

The donations were collected together in the Wortley Centre and on the final day of term were taken to the Canaan Trust in Long Eaton, a charity for homeless males aged 16-54.  By the end of the week there was a box full of items, plus several bags of things that wouldn’t fit in!  A great effort from the Sixth Form to help those less fortunate than ourselves at this time of the year.
