In ‘Wild’, inspired by David Almond’s script ‘Wild Boy, Wild Girl’, Elaine deals with grief and anxiety following the death of her father.
As Elaine fights her own demons the cruel and often ignorant judgements of others serve to remind us that our society still has a long way to go in its understanding of and response to mental health difficulties. Exploring challenging subjects such as grief and mental health was not easy but I was extremely proud of my young company who approached the process with sensitivity, maturity and commitment. Nicki Edwards - Director, Trent College
