Trent Students Head To Cambridge

Trips and Excursions

Some of our academically high achieving students from Years 9 - 11 spent a beautiful June day in Cambridge, the day began with a tour of one of the University’s youngest colleges, Murray Edwards.

Some students, including some members of our Schola Cantorum, met with one of the choral scholars from King’s College, who took them inside the famous chapel from where Carols from King’s is broadcast every Christmas Eve. There was also plenty of time for ice creams and shopping.

In the city centre, students visited the stunning architecture of the library by Sir Christopher Wren at Trinity College, with exhibits including a first edition of Shakespeare and A.A. They also enjoyed Milne’s manuscripts of Winnie the Pooh. The Whipple Museum, dedicated to the history of science, showed students how the study of sciences has evolved over time.
