Cricket

Connor Marshall from Year 11 was named among 3 nominees for The Academy Player of the Year Award at the Nottinghamshire CCC Gala Dinner on 2nd October held at Trent Bridge.

Connor impressed while playing for the Academy in the final 3 games of the season, and captained the Midlands U15 for the second year running at the Bunbury Festival, winning both the 50 over and T20 competition.  He had an excellent season for Trent College 1st XI, and was also instrumental in helping his club Radcliffe on Trent gain promotion to the Nottinghamshire Premier League for 2014, taking 12 wickets in the final 4 league games and scoring 87* against second placed Wollaton to secure the title.

The award went to former Trent College pupil Adam Tillcock, who had an outstanding season for the Academy and Notts 2nd XI. Well done to Connor on his nomination.
