Mr Tarry in Triathlon Success!

Well done to Maths teacher Mr Tarry on his recent achievement in the World Triathlon Championships. Read his full report below:

“I won Gold in the World Age Group Triathlon Sprint Championships (40-44 age group) in London on Friday 13th September. The race was a 750m swim, 20k bike and 5k run in and around Hyde Park. I qualified for the GBR team by winning the National Championships in June. Heavy rain made biking conditions difficult with a number of competitors retiring with punctures or crashing, but it was quite refreshing on the run section. I finished in a time of 1:04:16, nearly 3 minutes ahead of 2nd place. My event was part of the World Triathlon Championships starting on Wednesday and ending on Sunday with the Elite races. This was my first World Triathlon Championships despite having been racing since 1997.”
