From April 14th - 20th, eleven students studying Spanish in the Sixth Form spent a week in Barcelona, during which they spent the mornings attending a Spanish course provided by Linguarama and the afternoons and evenings visiting the highlights of the Catalan capital.
The 4 hours of lessons each morning provided invaluable and intensive practice and revision ahead of this summer's AS & A2 examinations.
The group also enjoyed visits to Gaudí's Barcelona (Parc Guell, La Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera) and the Picasso Museum, as well as spending time along Las Ramblas, Port Vell, Parc de la Ciutadella, the beach at Barceloneta, and in the Gothic Quarter. Some of the group visited the Camp Nou, home of FC Barcelona, whilst others chose to see the gardens and castle of Montjuic. In addition to the sights, students also made the most of the superb weather and local cuisine!
