Year 12 Explore Cambridge University

Academic

A group of students from Year 12 were the guests of Churchill College, Cambridge last week as part of our programme of preparing students for making university applications. The students heard a detailed talk about applying to Cambridge University and their tour of the college took in everything from a fellows’ seminar room to the bar and student accommodation. After lunch in the Hall, the trip included a short walk into central Cambridge and a tour of the much older Pembroke College with its ancient quads and the chapel by Christopher Wren.

The trip was a tonic of inspiration for students in the middle of Year 12, focusing minds on the importance of achieving as well as possible in their AS level exams this year, and the rewards of world class study opportunities that can follow.
