Lower School Cross Curricular Project

charity

All Year 7 and 8 pupils now participate in an individual cross curriculum project which they begin at the start of Lent Term and submit after Easter. The aim of the project is to provide an opportunity to develop independent learning and research skills which are vital for students’ academic success.

On average, students will spend approximately 30 minutes a week on the project with the help and support of teaching staff and tutors throughout the school.

For Year 7 students, as we are launching a whole school charity project to fund infrastructure development work in two schools in Kenya this year, the general title for this year’s work is “Kenya” and this will provide students with possibilities to explore areas across a range of subject areas.

Year 8 students are asked to choose a topic of their choice, and pick an aspect of it that they would like to explore in more detail. This may take the form of a presentation, a piece of literature or art, a collection of photographs or a report.

Good luck to all of our Lower School students and we look forward to seeing the best projects displayed at this year's Speech Day!
