Students at Trent College have once again been creating and filling shoeboxes full of gifts for this year’s Operation Christmas Child appeal.
Operation Christmas Child is the largest children’s Christmas project in the world and has been running since 1990. The project involves children and adults from across the UK filling shoeboxes with gifts, which then get sent to disadvantaged children in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Last year, many churches, schools and workplaces got involved in Operation Christmas child, wrapping, packing and sending nearly 1.1 million shoeboxes.
This year, the Trent College community have produced and wrapped 180 shoeboxes in total, which will now be sent off to underprivileged children across the world by Operation Christmas Child.
