Trent College & The Elms Junior School and Nursery seeks a Full-Time Senior Gardener (Plants and Trees).
Reporting to the Gardens & Grounds Manager, this is a hands on role which includes overseeing and monitoring of a team of 3 Gardens Staff.
It is stressed that whilst this role includes the usual outdoor estates maintenance duties (lawns, boarders, hedges, planting, trees, and paths etc.) the post holder will be responsible for the management, maintenance and upgrade of the Schools Arboretum and all planted areas. Only applicants with horticultural / arboriculture experience & recognised qualifications will be considered.
The overall presentation of the estate is seen as highly important and as such the post holder will be required to work to the highest of standards. An initial challenge for the post holder will be the redesign and replanting of a number of boarders / display areas.
The closing date for applications is 7 November (noon).
Interviews will be held week commencing 12 November 2018 with an anticipated start date of 2 January 2019.
