The standard of catering at Trent and The Elms is extremely high, the food is thoroughly enjoyed by pupils and staff.
From the boarders' favourite meal of the day (breakfast!); through to our lunch with its wide variety of options; on to afternoon tea and finishing with supper for the boarders; the feedback from our pupils and staff is always positive.
Trent College and The Elms are committed to the provision of food of the highest standard and with the issue of child health never far from the headlines, the catering operation has been refined to focus on providing more homemade, well-balanced, and diverse school meals, with the ability to trace where ingredients have come from also critical. Ingredients are locally sourced as far as possible.
The catering department operate a three week menu system which provides a wide range of nutritionally-sound meals and endeavours to cater for all tastes and dietary requirements. Pupils who have special diets such as celiac or who have allergies are encouraged to contact us, and staff are always available to advise on ingredients and preparation of the food on offer. Trent College and The Elms recognise that some pupils will have specific religious dietary requirements. The catering team are happy to advise further on the suitability of different menu options and also make special arrangements as required.
