Our community of highly valued friends; current and former parents, staff, former staff etc., are all welcome at Trent.
There are a number of events on offer for friends of Trent, details of which will be posted here, as well as communications designed to keep you in touch with the School.
Friends of Trent are also invited to join the Trent Business Network, set up to build relationships with the local and wider business community, parents and Old Tridents, facilitating networking opportunities amongst like-minded business people.
Many of our friends choose to support Trent by making a donation to the Trent Foundation, set up within the Trent College charity to support bursary provision and our long term aims.
Of course, supporting Trent is not just about making a donation. You support Trent every time you visit us and each time you express positive thoughts about Trent to the wider community.
Please do stay in touch – we value our friends highly.
If you would like to join an ever increasing group of Friends, be sent invitations to special community events at Trent and receive our communications, all you need to do is complete this form. We will then be able to keep in contact with you directly, giving you details of our events programme for Friends of Trent through our communications.
The Trent Business Network has been set up with a view to building relationships with the local and wider business community, parent and OTs.
Launched at a networking event held here at Trent on Wednesday 25 January 6.00 – 8.00 pm, businesses who are already members of the Network will be accompanied by others to network amongst like-minded business people.
We plan to hold a number of Trent Business Networking events over the year. There will be a guest speaker at each event, giving member businesses and professional services providers the opportunity to present their business and share their experiences with the Network.
If you would like more details on becoming a member or attending the event, please contact Jo Slater by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0115 849 4994.
Trent College is not a richly endowed school and, whilst fees pay for the direct costs of education, the School also needs to secure a permanent source of funding for bursaries to widen student access, to help support a number of its capital projects and to directly support a range of teaching and learning projects and extra-curricular activities that add significant value to our school.
Ever since the foundation of Trent College in 1866, the School has been constant in its belief that it should be a widely inclusive community, attracting children from a diversity of backgrounds. We wish to significantly extend our Assisted Places provision to secure and widen access into our School.
Philanthropic support is vital if Trent College is to go on being true to its history and continue to provide the environment, opportunity and inspiration for students to become confident, independent and well-rounded young people.
We want to improve the very fabric of our School and add to the many remarkable resources available to our pupils. There are also many projects around the School that enhance the experience of our current and future pupils, funded by the generosity of the many friends of Trent.
The Trent Foundation has been formed to help secure the long-term future of the School with a commitment to present and future pupils. There are a number of ways to donate to Trent College via the Trent Foundation. Please use the link on the left of the page 'Trent Foundation, ways to give' to find out more.
