The focus of Year 13 is completion and sending off university applications to UCAS as soon as possible.

Oxbridge, medicine, veterinary science and dentistry applications are prioritised to meet the October 15th deadline.

Tutors help students decide on the best course and university for them if they are still undecided. In addition, during PSHE lessons tutors work with tutees on personal statements with the aim to have as many completed by half term as possible.

The UCAS/Oxbridge team, tutors and subject specialists ensure that first and insurance choices are made carefully and realistically. The Director of Music advises on entry to Conservatoires and Musical Academies; and the Heads of Art and Design advise on entry to Art colleges.

In May students and their parents are invited to attend a results day and employability evening. Here they find out exactly what happens on results day and what to do in the various different scenarios. They also learn how to maximise their employability skills after leaving school.
