Students Raise £500 for National Charity

Sixth Form students from Trent College have already been doing their bit for charity ahead of Children in Need this Friday.

They raised £500 for Diabetes UK through a fun charity afternoon with games, face painting, cakes sales and a bouncy castle. Students chose Diabetes UK as the recipient of the money, following a presentation by tutor groups on the charity they thought should benefit from the money raised.

The Year 13 students presented the cheque to a delighted Sarah Macey, Regional Fundraising Manager for Diabetes UK. This event continues a long tradition of charity activities which have taken place at the school, most recently a sponsored litter pick at Attenborough Nature Reserve which raised over £1000.
