Welcome from our Head

Welcome to Trent College, a school full of energy and talent, in the classroom, on the many sports fields, on the stage, in our chapel. It is a school with genuine breadth, which produces well-balanced, confident and socially-skilled young men and women.

Founded in 1868, Trent is a school with a rich heritage and traditions spanning over 140 years. Though we value our unique and distinguished past, we have our eyes firmly set on the demands being made on young people in the 21st century and a spirit of energy, creativity and innovation shapes our school life.

We have a very high default setting here and we expect all of our students to reach very high levels of achievement. But at this school we don't just want fabulous exam results. We offer something so much broader, an education which celebrates all; the academic, the creative, the physical, the spiritual, the emotional. Trent is a school different from so many others, where being the accomplished artist or the powerful athlete or the gifted musician is considered absolutely central not separate from education.

At Trent, we want every individual to discover each of their strengths and make the most of each one of their talents; to become the Renaissance Men and Women of our modern society.
