PSA AGM
The PSA AGM will be held on Saturday 18th September at 11am in the Lee
What is the PSA?
We are a group of parents and staff from Trent College that:
- Organise interesting, entertaining and fun social events for parents, staff and friends ( see Events for more information).
- Run the "As New" clothing shop that provides a great source of low-cost school clothes and sports equipment.
We are not required to raise funds, but we are able to use any profits we make to purchase items for the School and to support charities. For example, in recent years we have helped to purchase a large barbecue for School events, a "table football" for one of the Trent houses and we have made charitable donations to a school in Kenya and the Rainbows Children's Hospice.
The PSA regularly arranges Tours of the Arboretum, organised by David Pinney who recently retired from the Trent College Common Room. The Trent College Arboretum is one of the best in the East Midlands. The collection is renowned for its attractive spinneys set around the games fields of the school. The arboretum contains several hundred trees belonging to over 200 species and cultivars.
David Pinney also co-ordinates our charitable efforts to Support the Nyacaba Primary School in Kenya.
PSA Information
What can you do as a parent?
- Join the Committee, or offer occasional support (please contact our Chair, Secretary or Treasurer if you are interested or willing)
- Help with the "As New" shop (we really need help with this!)
- Come along to events
- Involve other parents
- Give us new ideas for events and activities
