The Trent Foundation

The aim of the Trent Foundation is to help secure the long-term future of the School with a commitment to present and future alumni.

Trent College is not a richly endowed school and, whilst fees pay for the direct costs of education, the School also needs to secure a permanent source of funding for bursaries to widen student access, and to help support a number of its capital projects.

Ever since the foundation of Trent College in 1866, the School has been constant in its belief that it should be a widely inclusive community, attracting children from a diversity of backgrounds. As fees rise, it is a challenge to maintain this diversity. Our medium term target for the Trent Foundation is £10 million and we remain committed to the long-term goal of being able to say that every school year, any girl or boy for whom Trent is the right school, will be able to confidently apply, regardless of parental means.

Philanthropic support is vital if Trent College is to go on being true to its history and continue to provide the environment, opportunity and inspiration for students to become confident, independent and well-rounded young people.
