All new Student Laptop Service now available.
We are pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new service for students aimed at promoting the use of laptop computers within the school environment. This is a significant change to the laptop schemes the school has operated previously. The new "Student Laptop Service" is based on a system currently in use at Universities across the country. We are moving away from the system of “recommended notebooks” and implementing a more open scheme where students will have access to a list of network services and the purchase of equipment will be the individual's choice. The new service is available to all Year 11's and the Sixth Form.
SEN pupils who feel they would benefit from the service should contact the Learning Support department. A series of presentations are being held to introduce students to the service and they can find out more information by going to SLS.trentcollege.net on the schools intranet.
Students of all years may request a CD/DVD-RW or a 1GB USB memory stick from the IT Office should they wish to transport their work home, Items requested will be charged to the school bill.
