The Open Evenings in Autumn offer an informal introduction to Trent College and enable you to meet pupils and staff.
However the best way to fully appreciate life at Trent is to arrange an individual visit, where you will be shown round by a senior member of staff during a working day.
Please contact our Registrar on 0115 8494950 or by email at enquiry@trentcollege.net for further information and to arrange a visit.
Once you are ready to make an application, you will be required to complete a Registration Form, which can be downloaded from this website. Please return it to the Registrar, Trent College, Derby Road, Long Eaton, Notts, NG10 4AD, along with a cheque for £60. A report will then be requested from your childs current school and information about the relevant Entrance Examination will be sent to you. You will also be provided with information about applying for a Scholarship.

The normal entry points are: Year 7 | Year 9 | Sixth Form
We do occasionally have vacancies in other Year Groups.

The basis of selection is the Year 7 Entrance Examination. However, a great deal of attention is paid to the confidential report supplied by an applicant's current school. All candidates will also have a short interview at the School before they sit the Entrance Examination.
The entrance examination will be on Saturday 2nd February, 2008.

This is either by direct entry from the Lower School, by Common Entrance or by a Trent Test.

This is either directly from the Main School or from other schools by a pre-GCSE application. For those joining from outside Trent College, provisional places are offered as a result of an interview and a confidential school report.
Final acceptance for all students is conditional on their gaining at least five 'C' grades in GCSE, which should include English and Maths, with at least a 'B' grade in those subjects which they wish to study in the Sixth Form.
There are specific requirements for certain subjects which are detailed in the Sixth Form booklet. |
