Trent provides a style of boarding which suits the requirements of the pupils as they mature and also complements family life, enabling pupils to board during the week and to go home at weekends, if they so wish.
The aim is to provide a homely atmosphere in each House which allows the pupils to make friends and also to establish their own identity. Most boarders go home at weekends, but for those who stay, activities are provided - weekly cinema visits and trips to local venues such as Alton Towers.
Boarding allows pupils at Trent to get even more out of the School and helps to develop those essential life-skills of independence, self-reliance and the ability to live in a community, preparing them for life at university.
As well as the benefits gained by the student living in a community, we believe that there are great advantages, if the daily travel to and from school is eliminated.
Breakfast and supper are served in the Dining Hall, with all tastes catered for.
How to apply for a boarding place (for both current and new pupils):
